Important information for all web hosting customers with service ordered before January 1st, 2007: Kaplan ITA's original web hosting service and support for this service were discontinued on January 1st, 2008. If you did not upgrade to one of our new web hosting plans in partnership with Market Hardware or respond to any of the "end of service" notices (several mail, e-mail and telephone notices were sent to all customers between 1/1/07 and 12/15/07), then your website, email and all associated services will have been disconnected.

1. What are the differences between your New Web Services and Old Web Services?
Our new web services are different than our original service offerings. We have partnered with Market Hardware, the premier home inspection website provider to offer completely new services including many new and improved online features. Working with Market Hardware to upgrade your website, you will work with Marketing Hardware's web design team to create a new and upgraded website that will work on the new hosting platform. This will be an opportunity to improve your website for greater visual appeal and greater impact. You will be able to take advantage of as many of the new features as you like while making your new website design as similar to or different from your old website as you like. Market Hardware has the experience and excellent resources to offer the best home inspection websites available. 2. What is Market Hardware?
Market Hardware is the premier home inspection website design and hosting firm. Kaplan reviewed all of the top "do-it-for-me" home inspection website providers before approaching Market Hardware for partnership. Market Hardware offers top quality web design work, reliable hosting, outstanding customer service, and the very best online features designed specifically for home inspectors. Our all new Home Inspector WEB service includes a $100 discount off Market Hardware's retail pricing, plus an exclusive priority listing in the Homeinspection.com directory. 3. Can I just keep my current website? / Do I need to upgrade?
Kaplan has discontinued its previous website services. Customers will no longer be able to renew their websites at our previous hosting plans and will need to upgrade after June 1st 2007. All websites will need to be upgraded to one of our new website plans by December 31st, 2007. No further hosting or support for our previous plans will be available after December 31st, 2007.
4. Can I still renew my web hosting with the original plan?
All websites currently on our old web hosting plan will need to be upgraded to one of our new web package plans by December 31st, 2007. Hosting renewal with our previous hosting plan is no longer available. No further hosting or support for our previous plans will be available after December 31st, 2007.
5. How long do I have to upgrade before my current website is disconnected?
All websites will need to be upgraded to one of our new website plans by December 31st, 2007 to avoid any down time when your current website is disconnected. Please begin your upgrade process as early as possible as the process can take 1-4 weeks. No further hosting or support for our previous plans will be available after December 31st, 2007.
6. Can I keep my old web address?
Current Platinum web customers own their own domain name and will be able to continue using it. You may also choose a different domain name if you wish. Current Gold web customers with web addresses beginning with Homeinspection.com (ex: homeinspection.com/yourcompany ) will need to choose a new domain name (ex: www.yourcompany.com ). As a courtesy to allow time for updating your applicable printed and online advertising with your new Web address, your old Web address will be will be redirected to your new Web address for up to 12 months after the transition.
7. Do I get any credit for my current website's setup fee when I upgrade?
Your website's original setup fee and first year's hosting fee is not transferable. If you upgrade after the first year of service and your new website is launched while you still have prepaid hosting time remaining with the old service the prorated amount can be credited toward hosting with the new service plan. Customers who purchased our previous Platinum website service but did not actually activate the website hosting service may receive a partial upgrade credit depending on the amount of website work already completed (call 1-888-482-5655 for details).
8. What are the price differences between the old and new service plans?
Our new hosting fees are significantly lower than our previous Platinum web hosting plan. The new web hosting fees are $29/month or discounted an additional 15% if paid annually - a savings of up to $120/year. The setup fees for our new packages are discounted $100 off Market Hardware's retails price. See the pricing page and tour our new services for more information.
9. What if I recently renewed my hosting with the old plan?
All customers must upgrade their website by December 31st, 2007 to continue web hosting service regardless of when your web hosting was last renewed. When you upgrade, you will be credited a pro-rated amount based on the unused portion of your last paid hosting fee. This credit will be applied toward your upgrade to the new website.
